I have been a paralegal, a teacher, and a business owner, but the thing I have been best at is managing my home. A three-year bout with financial and personal struggles was a huge setback, but in April 2015, my husband and I embarked on the journey of homeownership; in December 2016, I became a stay-at-home mother; and in January 2016, I set a goal to revitalize my life by decluttering and organizing–and most importantly simplifying. I decided to share my ideas here for others who also may be struggling and need motivation, tips, or even a helping hand.
So nice to meet you! Call me . . . Mae. Although my name is not really Mae. My late grandmother, Lela Mae, is an increasing source of inspiration for me, and I named this endeavor after her. She was a simple woman, a good Christian, a fantastic cook and baker, a gardener, a seamstress, a quilter, and a wise woman at stretching her few meager pennies. So again, feel free to call me Mae. (Although in real life, people call me Erin.)
What’s your name? If you’re new here, please introduce yourself on the pinned post on this blog’s Facebook page!
