Toys that foster creativity, imagination, motor skills, and learning are big in our house. These fairy wings fit the bill. Check out my review below, which I have also posted on DollarTree.com.
My preschooler fell in love with these glittery fairy wings from the day she saw them in Dollar Tree. (They closely match her tutu that we bought her–not from Dollar Tree–for her second birthday. I will post a review of the butterfly wand–also purchased from Dollar Tree–in the near future. Just in case the picture below doesn’t tell a thousand words, I assure you that the review of the wand won’t be nearly as positive as the review of these wings.)
Thinking the wings were likely cheaply made and wouldn’t last more than a day or two, I refused to buy them–until Halloween. I bought them as part of an inexpensive costume for my child to wear to the trick or treat festivities last year, and she loved them–a LOT. I really did not believe they would last more than a few days, but that set lasted about a month–and again, she wore them for a couple of hours most weekdays. (I will note that she is not generally rough on her toys.) We are on our second set now, and these have been in our household approximately a month as well with frequent use. Thanks to her grandparents, I have five extra sets in all three colors (pastels pink, purple, and green) in her closet right now because our preferred Dollar Tree doesn’t always have these in stock.
I would buy these again and recommend them to other parents–with the understanding that glitter will be everywhere!
